What Happy parents are saying?

Costa Mesa Jiu Jitsu may be a newer academy, but it already stands out because of its incredible coaching staff. The coaches truly care about their students beyond just what happens on the mats. They consistently check in with the adults, attend competitions to support their athletes, and push everyone to reach their full potential. The kids’ program is just as impressive. The coaches focus on building a strong foundation, teaching discipline, confidence, and skills that translate both on and off the mats. Whenever I’m able to train here, the environment is competitive yet very safe. Everyone rolls with control and respect, so I never have to worry about someone going too hard or risking injury. It’s a great place to train, grow, and be part of a supportive jiu jitsu community.

Costa Mesa Jiu Jitsu is a fantastic place for kids to learn and grow. The studio offers a warm, personalized environment where every child gets individual attention. Unlike larger studios where kids can get lost in the crowd, here they truly flourish. Coach Tony does an amazing job making sure each student feels supported and valued. Highly recommend!

Carlson Gracie Costa Mesa is growing and going to be an incredible place to train. Head Coach David Hudson is an incredible tactician and Jiu Jitsu game player. He relates well with both Kids and adults. My daughter and I have had the pleasure of training with Coach David for the past two years and we have both improved along the way. My daughter has been taking private lessons with David which has helped her competitive level rise to great heights and helped her to win several tournaments. I highly recommend the gym and Coach David Hudson for all of your Jiu jitsu training needs.

I recently had my two daughters check this out, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. The coaches demonstrated exceptional skills in working with kids, creating a positive and supportive environment. Their patience and dedication were evident, making my daughters feel comfortable and motivated to learn. It's evident that the coaches genuinely care about the students' progress. I highly recommend this academy for families, especially with kids.

Josh is a dedicated Coach. Loves his job an wants the kids to succeed. I have observed Coach Josh, with other children outside of Jiujitsu. He is patient and will help the kids grow into respectful little humans. He lights up when he talks about the kids he has trained. . Very trustworthy and Honest. A person I would highly recommend. Wishing Professor Josh, the very best at Carlson Gracie, Costa Mesa!

Highly recommend this gym. Professor Josh worked on and off with my kids for about 4 years. He is highly committed to the kids he teaches and he cares about them a lot. He strikes a great balance between serious hard work and making it fun for them. If your kids compete, he takes note of their vulnerabilities in tournaments and focuses on the areas of needed improvement in the next set of classes. We stopped by to visit a class today and Professor Josh focused on self defense in real life situations. He taught skills to protect themselves if they are attacked and ways to create better openings for using their jiu jitsu skills. Great addition to their skill set.
